Irregular commentary on international politics, economics, and philosophy.

About me

I am a former academic, holding a PhD in international politics from the University of Konstanz, with a specialization in economic statecraft / geoeconomics. I now work in public affairs consulting, but this blogs remains my personal project only.

What the hell is an “infinite regression”?

According to Hans Albert (and many others) the problem of the justification of knowledge can be solved one of three ways:

  1. A circular argument

  2. An unquestioned dogma as the endpoint of justification

  3. An infinite regression

And I thought that last point makes for a nice title.
